The Vava’u Islands

Leave Neiafu and enter Vava’u’s maze of islands, channels and hidden anchorages. Explore by tender, get the toys out and find your own corner for the evening.

Swim into Swallows Cave, snorkel the limestone coast and dive the surrounding reef. In whale season, head out with licensed operators for the chance to encounter humpbacks in the water.

Navigate the narrow entrance into Hunga’s almost enclosed lagoon. Kayak, paddleboard and explore a place that feels hidden from the Pacific outside.

Head south for reefs, beaches and a full day in the water. Dive, snorkel or head ashore before returning to the yacht as the sun goes down.

Cross to Kenutu and walk from the calm lagoon side to the raw Pacific coast. Back onboard, spend the afternoon exploring the islands by tender.

Go remote for the final full day. Fish on the passage, dive the reef and find a beach with very little else around you.

Swim before breakfast, then thread your way back through the islands. In Vava’u, even the journey home feels like part of the adventure.
