The Exumas

Leave Nassau and watch the water change as you enter the Exumas. Anchor off Highbourne Cay, get the toys straight out and spend the first afternoon in the water.

Cruise into the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, where sandbars, reefs and tiny islands stretch in every direction. Snorkel, paddleboard and explore by tender, then climb Boo Boo Hill for the view.

Swim with the pigs at Big Major Cay, then snorkel through Thunderball Grotto when the tide is right. Head into Staniel Cay later for lunch and a little island life.

Swim with nurse sharks, explore the creeks by tender and find one of the Exumas’ shifting sandbars. Back onboard, bring out the toys and make the most of having this much water around you.

Move deeper into the protected cays for some of the week’s best diving and snorkelling. Find an empty beach and let the crew set up lunch somewhere you won’t find on a restaurant list.

Take the tender through mangrove channels until they open onto the Atlantic side of the island. Ride the current, explore the beach and spend one final afternoon completely surrounded by blue.

Swim early before beginning the run back towards Nassau. One last morning in that unmistakable Exumas water before returning to shore.
