The Society Islands
A seven-day escape through French Polynesia, from the dramatic peaks and lagoons of Moorea to the quieter islands of Huahine, Raiatea and Taha’a, before arriving in Bora Bora.
ITINERARY
Leave Tahiti with Moorea’s volcanic peaks rising ahead. Get straight into the lagoon, swim with rays and explore by tender beneath the mountains.
Go deeper into the island. Dive the reef, hike or take ATVs into the mountains, then return to the water and find another anchorage for the night.
Cruise to Huahine for a quieter, wilder side of French Polynesia. Explore ancient sites and villages ashore, surf or dive, then disappear back into the lagoon.
Cross to Raiatea, the cultural heart of the Society Islands. Head inland, kayak the river or dive the reef before moving to a protected anchorage.
Cross the lagoon to Taha’a for vanilla plantations and coral gardens. Jump in and let the current carry you between reefs before lunch onboard.

Come through the reef into Bora Bora beneath Mount Otemanu. Dive, foil, Seabob and take the tender between motus in one of the world’s great lagoons.
There’s no reason to rush the last day. Swim before breakfast and explore one more corner of the lagoon before leaving somewhere particularly difficult to say goodbye to.
